  • New! Complete MIDI support: Use ACID Music Studio software for complete MIDI editing and sequencing. Record and edit MIDI note and controller data on the timeline, and assign to any MIDI instrument. ACID Music Studio software supports VSTi and includes over 1,000 MIDI files and 90 instruments.

  • New! Inline MIDI editing: With ACID Music Studio 7 software, MIDI editing and note data can be manipulated via envelopes and keyframes on the main UI timeline. The drum grid allows you to easily edit MIDI notes for soft synths that have drum maps defined. With inline MIDI editing, you can increase your music productivity and flexibility. MIDI data is easier to edit, with quicker access to notes.

  • New! MIDI track envelopes and keyframes: With this feature you can adjust volume, panning, controller parameters, or program changes dynamically over the duration of a track. All MIDI note data and controller data in an ACID Music Studio project can be edited using an easy, visual approach. MIDI changes can be made across a project using envelopes.

  • New! MIDI processing and filtering: ACID Music Studio 7 software includes MIDI processes and filters such as quantize, velocity and duration for setting MIDI note parameters. Apply destructive editing to MIDI events on the timeline, quantize data in events, edit velocity values, change the duration of an event, or transpose MIDI data which allows users to perform more powerful MIDI editing.

  • Studio-quality effects: Customize your music using audio effects including EQ, reverb, delay, chorus, flange, phase, distortion, echo, and more. Use VST effects and instruments, and DirectX effects. Add pan and volume envelopes, reverse audio, and change pitch and tempo of your mix in real time.

  • Loop-based music creation: A loop is a sample of a performance that has been edited to repeat seamlessly in your composition. ACID Music Studio software includes more than 3,000 professionally recorded loops in nearly every musical genre that you can combine to create original songs.

  • New! Multiple events per track with automatic crossfades: Add as many loops or one-shots to a track. When events are overlapped, ACID Music Studio software creates automatic crossfades for smooth transitions. With this feature you can now seamlessly tie different loops and songs together rather than having to use numerous tracks, saving space and time. More complex musical compositions can be created by using multiple media types, and this also saves track real estate.

  • New! Freehand envelope drawing: Draw envelope shapes directly on events by using Ctrl key and the pencil tool. This results in more accurate volume, panning levels for mixes.

  • Integrated CD burning: ACID Music Studio software makes it easy to create your own CDs in minutes. Layout and burning is fully integrated into ACID Music Studio software so you can create your music and produce CDs all in one program.

  • New! Gracenote® MusicID™: The Gracenote MusicID media recognition service can be used when "ripping" content from CDs. Users can automatically view information about a CD track including, title, artist, and song name, and can also submit data.

ATRAC .aa3 format support: ACID Music Studio 7 software includes ATRAC (.aa3) and ATRAC Lossless format editing and encoding, surround encoding and decoding support, and the ability to encode up to 512 kbps, 48khz. Users of Sony devices including MP3 players, NET-MD players, and HI-MD players can now natively edit and export ATRAC formats without needing another conversion tool.
