Each finely tuned speaker features a high-performance 2-1/2-inch woofer and a 1/2-inch dome tweeter for pinpoint imaging and crisp highs. Quality, system-specific crossovers are utilized for complete audio coverage.
BassTrac Provides Powerful Bass Without Distortion
The dedicated 8-inch wireless subwoofer features BassTrac technology, a circuit that maximizes bass output while avoiding overload. A 250-watt amplifier and acoustically tuned port ensure powerful low-frequency reproduction of the most demanding audio. The subwoofer serves as both the connection center for inputs and houses digital signal processing circuitry and amplifiers for the system.
Digitally Optimized Virtual Surround (DOVS) Delivers Enveloping Surround Sound
Boston's Digitally Optimized Virtual Surround (DOVS) technology makes an authentic cinema surround sound experience possible with just two channels and a subwoofer. DOVS decodes the full, 5.1 channel audio signal from the disc and applies a proprietary process to derive the ideal 2.1-channel version of the original surround sound mix.
Satellites Sit or Mount at Any Angle
The two SoundWare XS satellite speakers are ultra-compact for easy placement. Whether you place your TV on a shelf or table or mount it in on the wall, the SoundWare XS satellites can be positioned for optimal audio performance. The included articulating mounting brackets allow for positioning at any angle.
Connects Directly to TV and Works with Any TV Remote
The SoundWare XS Digital Cinema connects directly to your TV without the need for additional components. It also learns the television's remote control commands so you don't have to add yet another remote to the coffee table. A credit card-size remote is included for setting up the system and programming the system's control pod to your remote. After the system is programmed to work from your own TV remote, the supplied remote will still work as a backup.
Movie and Music Playback Modes for Customized Audio
With separate movie and music playback modes, you can tailor the sound to suit the content. In movie mode, enjoy crisp, clear movie dialogue and powerful cinematic special audio effects, while music mode delivers concert-quality music reproduction.
